If you are searching my name next to the word alternatives, you are doing exactly what I would do. Before you hire any coach, you should know what else is out there and what each path really gets you. So let me save you some tab hopping and lay out the genuine alternatives to working with me, fairly, including the ones that might fit you better. I coach course creators on joint ventures and strategic partnerships, and my approach is not the only way to grow through partners. It is one way, with specific strengths and honest limits, and by the end of this page it should be obvious which path is yours.
The alternatives worth taking seriously
There are four real paths if you want joint ventures to drive your course growth. You can learn it yourself from free content and books. You can buy a self-paced course on partnerships and launches. You can join a general business mastermind and hope partnership expertise is in the room. Or you can work with a coach who does only this. Each one is legitimate. The differences are speed, feedback, and how much of the work stays on your plate.
Doing it yourself with free content
Free material will teach you the concepts. What it will not do is watch your specific pipeline, tell you which partner to approach next, or catch the sequencing mistake before it costs you a launch. The do-it-yourself path works for creators with time, patience, and a tolerance for learning on live launches. The cost is not money. It is the launches you spend discovering what a coach would have flagged in the first conversation.
My own writing is part of this free path, and I mean for it to be genuinely useful on its own. The piece on why joint ventures feel harder than they should is a fair test of whether my way of thinking fits you before you spend anything.
Self-paced courses on partnerships
A recorded course is cheaper than coaching and better organized than free content. It suits creators who execute well from instructions and mostly need the map. Where it falls short is adaptation and accountability. A course cannot tell you that your niche calls for a different partner profile, and it cannot introduce you to anyone. If you have stalled on execution before, a course alone tends to repeat that story.
General business masterminds
A good mastermind gives you peers, accountability, and reach, and for some creators that is enough. The limitation is focus. In a general room, partnerships are one topic among many, and the people around the table may not be running promotions you can plug into. A partnerships-specific room compounds differently, because every relationship in it is a potential deal. That difference is the entire reason I run mine the way I do.
Working with a JV-specific coach
This is my category, so weigh what I say here accordingly. A coach who does only joint ventures gives you the system, feedback on your actual pipeline, and usually a network effect the other paths cannot, because the other clients are running promotions too. The honest downside is cost and fit. Coaching is the most expensive path, and it only pays once you have a working offer to promote. If your course is not selling at all yet, fix the offer first, and the comparison of joint ventures against paid ads and cold outreach will help you see where partnerships belong in that bigger picture.
How I differ inside that category
Where I sit within JV coaching comes down to two commitments. I am relationship-first, which means I will talk you out of transactional partner-chasing even when it would close faster. And I am systems-minded, which means everything I teach is built to run again without me standing next to you. My decision framework for joint ventures shows that thinking in the open. I also package the work into two defined programs rather than open-ended coaching hours, DealFlow System to install the machine and Flow Mastermind to scale it, so you always know what you are buying.
Who should choose an alternative
Some people should not hire me, and it saves us both time to say so plainly. If you do not yet have an offer that sells, spend your money on the offer. If you want a done-for-you agency that runs promotions while you watch, I am not that, and neither is any real coach. And if you simply want information, my blog and the free path will serve you well for a long while before you need more. The success stories show who gets the most from working with me, creators with a real offer who wanted a partner engine and built one.
How to evaluate any of us
Whoever you consider, me included, ask the same three questions. Does this person run real promotions themselves or only teach them. Can they show you the system, not just the wins. And will the path leave you owning a repeatable process, or renting one. Anyone worth hiring answers all three without flinching. My answers are on the about page and all over this blog, and I am comfortable being compared.
If you have read this far and the coaching path still sounds like yours, the next step is simple. Work with me and we will find out in one conversation whether I am the right version of it.
